Couples increasingly want the wow moment of fireworks without the smoke, noise and danger. Several modern effects create stunning photos and videos, often even indoors.

Cold pyro

Cold pyro machines shoot up fountains of sparkling particles that look like fireworks but stay much cooler and produce very little smoke. They are popular for the couple's entry, the varmala and the first dance.

  • Works indoors in many venues, with permission.
  • Controlled by an operator, so it can be timed exactly to the music.
  • Ask about the distance to keep from guests and decorations.

Flower petals and confetti

A shower of rose petals or biodegradable confetti at the entry or after the varmala looks lovely and is completely silent. Petal cannons and blowers make it easy to cover a large area.

Bubbles and dry ice

Bubble machines add a playful feel to the haldi or mehendi. Low-lying "dry ice" fog creates a dreamy, floating effect for a first dance. Use dry ice only with a trained operator and in a well-ventilated space.

Light effects

Moving lights, LED sparklers, laser shows (where permitted) and projection on the venue walls create drama without any fire.

Choosing the right effect

  • Ask the venue which effects are allowed.
  • Consider elders, children and guests with breathing problems; low-smoke options are kinder.
  • Keep animals away from any loud or bright effect.
  • Plan the exact moment with your DJ, anchor and photographer.

Ask your provider

Request a short demo video, the operator's experience and the safety distance. A good provider will advise you honestly about what suits your venue.
