Custom footwear gives you a perfect match with your outfit and a fit made for your feet. It needs a little planning so it is ready in time.

When to order

Place the order at least four to six weeks before the wedding, and earlier in the busy season. Embroidered or matching sets for the whole family may need more time.

What to share with the mochi

  • Your foot measurements, or let the mochi measure both feet; they are often slightly different.
  • A fabric sample or photo of the outfit for colour and embroidery.
  • The style you want: mojari, jutti, Kolhapuri or a shoe.
  • Comfort needs: wide feet, high arches, or a need for extra padding.
  • How long you will wear them and whether you will dance.

Plan a trial fitting

Ask for a trial about two weeks before the wedding. Walk around, sit and stand, and check where the footwear rubs or feels loose. Small changes are easy at this stage.

Matching sets for the family

Many families order matching mojaris for the groom, his father and brothers, or juttis for the bride and bridesmaids. Share all sizes together and confirm the delivery date for the whole set.

Confirm the details

Write down the design, colours, sizes, delivery date, price and advance paid. Keep a photo of the agreed design.

Collect early

Collect the footwear at least a week before the wedding so you have time to break it in and for any last adjustment.
